Family Work Weekend

This past weekend was our annual family work weekend. Each year we switch off homes, and everyone descends to help that family with whatever project/ projects that they've chosen. This is the six year that we've done the work weekend and once again, it was our turn. We brought the work weekend back to it's roots with a worthy project which was making our back staircase safe.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time out of your busy lives to come help us make our home a more enjoyable place.

I loved seeing you all and spending quality time with each of you!

Wading Pool

Our beloved wading pool here in the neighborhood didn't open this year due to the city deciding the not replace the drain, so we have to head to South park to cool off. The wading pool was very fun until it started to get crowded. The depth of the pool is such that kids love to run around splashing eveyone within 5 feet of the pool's edge.

On the plus side, their play equipment is a part of the pool, so the kids can play on it while also playing to the pool.

He's just too cool!

Lemonade Stand

The lemonade stand was a bit of a dud because it rained. However, the kids LOVED it!

Garden Walk Time

It's time for Georgetown's annual Garden Walk. Tomorrow from 10-5, homeowner up their gardens to the public for tours.

It's one of my favorite days here in the neighborhood & this year we'll be selling lemonade and hotdogs from our front yard to make some money for the kids' college fund.

One Year Anniversary

I've been blogging about the family happenings for a year now. This is my 66th post. I'll try to keep up that pace for the coming year.

On a side note, I thought of a business idea. Putting someone's blog into a photo book for them, captions included.

Pizza, Pizza, Daddy Oh!

We occasionally indulge in the yummy pizza that is "Stella's Pizza" here in Georgetown. Usually it's for take out, but last night we went to the restaurant and enjoyed the pizza at the source.

Fun games!

4th of July Weekend

Ian & I went to Lake Wenatchee State Park for the 4th of July weekend with a good friend of Demmari's from high school (thanks to facebook). We were so glad to be invited by Leah and had a fantastic time! Here are camping photos as well as a day trip that we took to Leavenworth on the 4th.
