I have been fortunate in that Sunset has given me the opportunity to represent all of Canada for the publication. I took my first of hopefully many trips up North to do some meetings in Vancouver and Victoria. I had a fantastic time and I’m hoping for some Canada business in the upcoming issue.
I had a meeting with the Pan Pacific, and I was a few minutes early, so I took the opportunity to take in their amazing view.
Next up was lunch on the move. I bought the Tacotino. It was yummy!
This guy tried to snatch some for himself.
I had to drive to Burnaby for my next meeting, then back downtown. I put on my gym clothes and headed out to explore Vancouver. It was gorgeous sunny day, so I walked through downtown and across the Granville Bridge to Granville Island.
My destination was the Granville Island Market. You can see it below with all of the water taxis.![]()
It was fantastic. Piles of berries, fresh bagels for a buck, and buckets and buckets of beautiful flowers.
I was cracking up on the way back when I saw this beat up apartment representing their Olympic message. Not the best face if you ask me.
I explored Yaletown next & had a nice dinner.
Day two of meetings started with a super early morning. I was up a 5 and on the 7 am ferry to Victoria. The ride was slow, but very scenic and the ferry winded it’s way through the islands.
While there, I did some exploring and found a fantastic store in their Chinatown area.
The floors were worn in a way that makes you think about the history of the place.
There was the sweetest shop kitty that I wanted to take home with me.
I wanted those little shorts, but I resisted.
I bought this little Giraffe instead for Hannah. We’re calling it Raphi.
I had the best Chinese food ever with Pam and her friend Sam.![]()
On the last day, I packed up and headed to Granville Island where I found the most amazing coffee shop and had quick breakfast before I hit the road. I’m normally not the type to take photos of my food, but the coffee was just so perfect that I snapped this quick shot.
I’m looking forward to next time…
