Garden Progress

The 15th of each month is Garden Bloggers Bloom day, where you snap photos of your yard and the flowers that are in bloom. Not that I necessarily think of myself as a gardener, but I thought that it would be fun to start this (a week late), just so I can document the progress of my garden over time.

Our new tree thanks to our amazing
neighbor, Ben (goodbye bad neighbors)

This is such a beautiful tree!
I'll have to get the name from Ben

Our side yard that I've dedicated to
lots and lots of flowers for cutting all summer

My favorite Hydrangea that produces
huge pink blooms.

A beautiful hebe that surprised me with
these little purple flowers.

Another Hydrangea in the side yard

baby tears are going crazy

The day lilies are about to burst

The passion flower vine produces
these amazing blooms all summer long

Special time

Hannah and I had a special day together yesterday while Ian and daddy had their own special time. Us girls went to the my friend Amber's baby shower and then to Emerald Downs to see some horses. Hannah had a blast & crashed on the car ride home. The boys spent the day together playing with Papa.

So fun!

Hansee's Boat

We spent last Sunday on the boat with Hansee and Nana doing some fishing. We caught a few fish with Nana's special bait, but none were worth keeping. As always, we had an amazing time!

Hiawatha Playfield

Here is the digger at the Hiawatha Playfield in West Seattle. They also have a shallow wading pool that opens up next month and they have quite a few trees, so there is some good shade for the hot days ahead.

Sadly, our wading pool here in Georgetown is closed for the year, so we're going to have to find a new one. The South Park wading pool opens up next week and so we'll be checking it out.

Mixing Things Up

I've started a mission to go to a new park every week for the whole summer. Today we went to Hiawatha Playfield in West Seattle & last week we got McDonald's and went to a park in Burien. The park today had a digger, so fun!

Anyone out there?

I've been working hard at keeping the blog updated, and lately I've been feeling like it's in vain. Should I be spending my time printing up photos and putting them in an album instead? Perhaps I'll take up scrapbooking.

Pink Cake

Ian was sad that he didn't have a pink cake like his neighborhood friend Jake won at a cake walk during the benefit yesterday, so we made ourselves one.

Pure Genious!!

I had a 'Ah-Ha' moment yesterday at a neighborhood benefit that I attended with the kids.

$0.10 a ride

This space was so cool!
I see a birthday party here in the near future.

Ah-ha plastic balls, but in what?

In a pack-n-play. I'm so stealing this idea!

Grease Lightin'

My Mom & I went to see Grease at the 5th Avenue Theatre on Saturday night. We had a fantastic time!

Thank you so much Mom for taking me!

We're glowing!

Memorial Day Weekend

We were invited up to the Gallagher's Lake House for Memorial Day Weekend. Chi was doing some work on both his parent's houses, so I took the time to have a little getaway with the kids. The weekend was beautiful & we had an amazing time hanging out with the Gallagher Family.
