Five, wow, five just hasn’t sunk in yet.
My baby boy isn’t a baby anymore, nor is he a little boy, he’s a big boy who is starting school this fall. This will be an amazing summer fill with moments to remember.

Five, wow, five just hasn’t sunk in yet.
My baby boy isn’t a baby anymore, nor is he a little boy, he’s a big boy who is starting school this fall. This will be an amazing summer fill with moments to remember.
There are many random things that make me feel good inside. Among them are a latte first thing in the morning, the smell after a downpour, fresh cut flowers, the way everything looks at twilight, a good windstorm, especially at night, and a funny one that I discovered today, new bedding.
I love a freshly made bed, and I especially love soft new sheets.
I bought new sheets and a comforter today, and I’m cracking up at myself at how happy it made me. Oh, the small pleasures…
We headed to La Conner this past weekend to see the tulip fields in bloom. With the Spring weather coming early this year, the timing for the trip turned out to be just right.
La Conner is a quant little town and the Inn we stayed at was perfect. Our room had a fireplace and the Inn was in the center of town so we were able to walk to everything. I couldn’t have asked for more.
We will certainly visit again.
The bunches of flowers were stacked and ready to go.
My big bunch for only $18
I brought Hannah’s ladybug umbrella hoping for a good photo opp.
She did good for a little while,
then she decided she was done and just let go of her umbrella. It went flying, rolling down the road in the wind. Too funny!
I was hoping for a good Christmas card photo. Definitely not it!
Daddy love.
Do these smell?
I love this one!
Gotcha!
Time to head home. Goodbye to our amazing room!
See you next time…
Growing up, I always remember my mom bringing fresh flowers in from the yard. She’d generally float them in a bowl of water. Now, here I am gathering blooms all Spring & Summer long bringing that amazing beauty inside for all to enjoy.
Have I mentioned that I like Spring time?
Due to yesterday’s gorgeous weather, the flowers and foliage are coming out & I’m loving it!
We ran up to the corner store yesterday to get an ingredient for dinner. Alan, the shop owner, was unloading ice cream, and decided to show the kids a show with some dry ice he had.
They loved it, so he sent us home with some.
I’ve been working on taking photos from different perspectives to see how that changes my photos.
A couple days ago, I spotted an abandoned couch by the railroad next to Airport Way. This morning I headed down there with my cameras in tow to see how I could photograph it. Here are a few shots.
We had a wonderful morning that started off with Chi & Ian making an amazing space police Lego ship together followed by a delicious omelet, courtesy of Chi.
Then after more Lego fun, we headed to the Safeco Field area for a mobile street food event.
Hannah enjoying Veraci Pizza from their outdoor oven.
Action shot.
We were joined by our friends Ruth & Simone and had a great time hanging out with them & standing in line for yummy food.
Simone laughing a Chi’s crack about his “OJ gloves.”
Daddy love.
Daddy love of my own, and he and I headed out to go see Legally Blonde and the 5th Avenue Theatre.
It was a great day, and we still have tomorrow to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
We went down to Dem’s house for Autumn & Myles 1st Birthday party. Hannah came to Mischa’s ballet class and really enjoyed it.
